The Death, Burial and Resurrection of Jesus

The death of Jesus on the cross is one of the most significant events in human history, and it continues to have an impact on the world today. For Christians, it is the ultimate expression of God’s love for humanity and is the foundation of our faith. It is believed that Jesus died on the cross as a sacrifice for the sins of humanity. This event is commemorated by Christians worldwide during the Holy Week, which leads up to Easter Sunday. The death of Jesus has been interpreted in many ways throughout history, but at its core, it is a story of sacrifice, love, and redemption.

The death of Jesus on the cross is viewed as the ultimate sacrifice. Christians believe that Jesus died on the cross to pay the penalty for the sins of humanity. This sacrifice was necessary to reconcile humanity with God. According to the Bible, all have sinned and come short of the glory of God. Humans are born with a sinful nature and are separated from God. However, through the death of Jesus on the cross, humanity can be reconciled with God and receive the gift of salvation.

Theologians have long debated the exact nature of Jesus’ sacrifice, but it is generally agreed that it was an act of love and selflessness. Jesus willingly gave up his life for the sake of others, and his death is seen as a powerful symbol of God’s love for humanity.

The crucifixion of Jesus was a brutal and painful event. Jesus was stripped, beaten, and forced to carry his cross to the place of execution. He was then nailed to the cross and left to die. The crucifixion was a common method of execution in the Roman Empire, but it was reserved for the worst criminals. The fact that Jesus was crucified shows the extent of his suffering and sacrifice.

It is a reminder of the lengths that God was willing to go to show his love for humanity. This is why you should not let this Easter season pass without benefiting from the crucifixion of Jesus. God’s love for humankind is huge, and we have no excuse to reject His love.

While the death of Jesus on the cross is a significant event, it is not the end of the story. Christians believe that Jesus rose from the dead three days after his crucifixion. History confirms that Jesus rose from the dead on the third day. This event, known as the resurrection, is the foundation of the Christian faith. Through the resurrection, Christians believe that Jesus conquered death and made eternal life possible.

The resurrection of Jesus is a powerful symbol of hope and new life. It is a reminder that death is not the end, and that through faith in Jesus, eternal life is possible. The resurrection is celebrated each year by Christians worldwide during Easter, and it is a time to reflect on the power of God’s love and the hope it brings.

The death of Jesus on the cross has had a profound impact on the world, and it continues to inspire and challenge people today. It is a reminder of the power of love, sacrifice, and redemption and a symbol of the hope that is possible through faith. Have you given your life to Jesus and accepted His offer of love for you? The Pain of Losing a Son: How did God Feel?

The loss of a child is not a nice experience. I am just thinking about how God felt when He saw Jesus on the cross. When He had to take off His eye because of the sins Jesus was carrying and His eventual death. I believe that day was a very bad day for God and that is why He cannot reject anyone who looks to the cross for salvation. I want to believe that when God remembers the death of His son, He cannot say no to anyone who requests the name of His Son. It was such a painful death and a dreadful experience for God.

I do not wish anyone to lose a child to get any experience. But definitely, some people have experienced that before and they can tell their own painful stories. It is a story you wish to tell every year and naturally, we tend to forget such experiences. How do you suppose God would feel every year when we celebrate the death of His dear Son on the cross? When God remembers how His Son died and how He could not look at His own Son because of what He was carrying on the cross.

Those of us who are parents can imagine our children going through something that we can not look at them because of what they are going through. There was a thirty-three (33) year old man who was killed for no wrong done. Imagine people still insulting Him on the cross, and people even rejecting and denying Him now. Even though His death was foretold, it was not palatable. He had a choice. Jesus could have decided not to die that particular way or not to die at all. He took that decision to die and it was a good decision for mankind.

The world wants to talk about Mahatma Gandhi, Nelson Mandela, and Martin Luther King, yes they were great men in their own right, but Jesus is the only one who was killed and His death brought redemption to all mankind. God felt pain but men were delivered through Jesus’ death and this brought joy to God. So we celebrate His Son’s death and it is not just remembering Jesus’ death but the transformation and change that death has brought to all men.

We celebrate Easter every year and it is all joy and happiness. This is because the death of Jesus has brought freedom from sin, sickness, poverty, and the prison of satan. By accepting Jesus, we move from death to life, we move from darkness into light, and we change the course of our life for a better place. You are better off accepting this man Jesus into your life. I am not asking you to join a religion, no, I want you to experience the resurrected Jesus. Just try Him for a month, if nothing changes, you can go back to your normal life. Can we bet on this?

And those of you who make it look like you have this man Jesus with you all the time but we cannot see any change in your life. When Jesus enters your life and there is no change for the better, then He did not stay or you kicked Him out of your life because He was too cool for you. You wanted something hotter that can make you shout in pleasure now and pain in the future. You have a choice. Your inability to control your body now will destroy your future. May God help us.
