External approval sometimes feels good and makes us look like we are doing something great. But external approval cannot be controlled. We do not have control over who approves our work or worth. Seeking external approval may lead to disappointment. People should not be our focus for approval.
Internal approval must be focused on. We must have the habit of motivating ourselves. When we do not even receive any external approval, because we have the capacity to motivate ourselves, we can go ahead to achieve whatever we want in life. Internal approval comes from within when we know our worth and our relevance.
At the workplace, know your contribution and be motivated by the service you are providing. When we do not receive any commendation from anyone, we are already aware of our worth and this does a lot to affect our contribution to the organisation. Many forces will fight against our self-worth, but we should have the ability to generate internal motivation for ourselves and help us achieve the goal we have set for ourselves.
Self-motivation must be our choice. This would make us focus on what we do and forget about external influences. We must keep our focus on the target we have set for ourselves and decide to work to get to that target. There is no to worry about observers who have no contribution to your life and well-being. Do not look for any outside approval.
