We are a generation of men and women who walk with no conscience. We have become so corrupt that we no longer see corruption as corruption anymore. We sing like angels whilst enjoying phone sex. We have wives but they are not enough for us. We move from the presence of God and live by our own standards.
We become obsessed with movements that come and go without developing a personal relationship with God. We follow individuals who have gifts and forget about the giver of gifts. We get excited about statements from these men of God, but we are not excited about the Word of God. A generation that is quick to follow a wind of change but remains the same.
We make a god out of a man and defend them with every might in us but fail to defend the gospel in our daily life. We don’t care to join a prayer chain, but our prayer life doesn’t become better. This is a generation that is concerned with pretentious godliness. We feign purity when there is none in us. What we do in public is different from what we do in secret. Our secret life cannot be made public because we are ashamed of it. We can declare the holiness of a man of God but fail to declare our holiness.
We pretend as if the preaching is transforming us but leave immediately to our partner in crime to commit the next available crime. We want smart spiritual statements but are not willing to live by them. We shout righteousness on the rooftop but enjoy “eating bread in secret”. We are quick to install Bible on our phones and tablets, but we seldom open and read the Bible.
Let us wake up from our slumber. The devil is satisfied with our present life as far as it doesn’t threaten his kingdom. I would rather build a relationship with God than become a fanatic of another man’s ministry. We must be interested in our relationship with God. How is your relationship with God? Can God approve us? Can God trust us? I will strive to have a personal relationship with God than chase after a fleeting wind. The Lord is at hand. God bless you.
